WorkSteps for operators
Find and claim a unit, follow its approved route, record evidence and complete the work. Separate demonstrations cover pausing and supervisor holds.
For operators
Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.
Find and claim work
- Open the station
Open Station from the menu to find issued work.
- Choose your station
Choose Bench 1. WorkSteps records which station claims and completes the work.
- Find the unit
Enter the exact unit ID 00002, including its leading zeros. WorkSteps opens its issued traveller.
- Claim and start the work
Claim the work at your station. WorkSteps presents the approved route already selected for this unit.
Record evidence in order
- A different identifier is rejected
Scan 0002. The missing leading zero makes this a different identifier: WorkSteps records the rejection and keeps the identity step open.
- Confirm the unit identity
Scan the unit label 00002. An exact match records the evidence and advances to preparation.
- Confirm preparation
Read the approved preparation instruction and confirm only once the required check is complete.
- Confirm the final check
Carry out the final instruction, then confirm it. This saves the evidence; completing the unit is a separate action.
Record completion
- Complete the unit
Complete the work after every required item is recorded. WorkSteps saves a server-confirmed completion record.
