Declare and review a material hold

Stop use of an exact material while retaining a reason, then release only after supported review.

For supervisors

Use an authorised account and only supported physical facts. This recording uses an isolated synthetic stockroom with prepared approved materials, rules, opening stock and a selected station.

Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.

Declare and review a material hold

  1. Open Holds and shortfalls

    Open Holds and shortfalls.

A supervisor can declare and review holds. A warning acknowledgement does not release stock or prove condition.

  2. Choose exact record

    Choose exact record.

The default material scope applies to SCREW-001. A narrower location or recorded quantity would be a different choice.

  3. Enter reason for the hold or release

Enter reason for the hold or release.

State the concern that makes further use unsafe.

  4. Declare the material hold

    Declare the material hold.

The hold prevents the specified work. It does not change a physical quantity.

  5. Enter reason for the hold or release

Enter reason for the hold or release.

Release requires current supervisor authority and recent Accounts verification. Use supported facts, not a warning acknowledgement.

  6. Release after the review

    Release after the review.

The hold history is retained. A separate quarantine condition would still need its own review.
