## Review and export support evidence safely

1. **Open your scanner details**

   Open your scanner details.

   Scanner, computer and keyboard details are optional. Record them when they help troubleshooting; they are supplied by you and stay local.

2. **Add a local troubleshooting note**

   Add a local troubleshooting note.

   Use a short local description of the workstation. This synthetic note is included only when the full report is explicitly selected.

3. **Review the redacted report first**

   Review the redacted report first.

   The real report builder omits captured text, key values, expectations, rule arguments and device details by default. No email or account is required.

4. **Download the reviewed JSON locally**

   Download the reviewed JSON locally.

   The product creates a local JSON file. Nothing is sent to SmartFACT. The recorder verifies the actual download is redacted.

5. **Opt in to the full evidence report**

   Opt in to the full evidence report.

   The full report includes captures, key events, expected text, rule arguments and notes. Review its contents and intended recipient before sharing.

6. **Download the reviewed printable report**

   Download the reviewed printable report.

   The real HTML exporter escapes the synthetic data and saves a printable local file. This download does not contact a printer or support inbox.

7. **Return to redaction by default**

   Return to redaction by default.

   Switch the full report off to remove working values and notes from the preview again. Previously downloaded files remain on the computer.

8. **Return to capture after the report**

   Return to capture after the report.

   Change returns to step 1. Capture stays paused after the report, so start it again explicitly before another scan.
