## Handle an unknown barcode

1. **Choose the recovery bench**

   Choose the named bench where you are doing the work.

2. **Use the named station**

   Use your own sign-in to take control of the bench. This does not reserve or release any part.

3. **Ready the scanner**

   Ready the scanner.

   Put the scanner input in focus before reading the label on the actual part.

4. **Stop on an unknown barcode**

   Stop on an unknown barcode.

   The code is not in this site register. Check the physical label and ask for help. The scan has not created a new component.
