Confirm completed non-stock work

Read an excess-quantity refusal, then record the actual completed service.

For operators

Sam Ashworth has only the Operator role. HP-PO-01001 was already approved for 2.00 hours of Machine calibration. No supplier send or service confirmation has yet been recorded. The lesson keeps that missing communication evidence visible and does not demonstrate receiving stock.

Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.

  1. Choose Floor

Use Floor for raising a request or confirming non-stock work. These actions do not require an enrolled station. Office contains the queue and order records.

  2. Open delivery confirmations

Use Purchasing for non-stock goods or completed work. Record physical stock receipts in StoresFlow or the requesting product.

  3. Open the calibration order

Select the calibration line. The form shows the quantity still outstanding and the approved unit, hours.

  5. Enter a quantity above the balance

Enter 3.00 hours to see the genuine refusal. Only 2.00 hours remain on this line.

  6. Record when the work was completed

Record when the work was completed.

Enter the local equivalent of 14 October at 10:00 UTC for this lesson. Help displays and types the value in your browser time zone. In your work, record the actual completion time.

  7. Read the balance refusal

    Read the balance refusal.

Purchasing refuses the excess quantity. Nothing is confirmed by this refused action. Check the evidence rather than overriding the outstanding balance.

  8. Enter the actual two hours

    Enter the actual two hours.

The completed work was two hours. Enter 2.00 in the approved unit after checking the completion record.

  9. Keep the completion reference

    Keep the completion reference.

Retain the calibration completion reference with the confirmation.

  10. Record the completed service

    Record the completed service.

The accepted confirmation reduces the balance and keeps Sam and the completion reference in the history. No supplier send is recorded, so the before-send flag remains for a supervisor to review. This does not post stock.

Watch or practise this chapter

No supplier send was recorded for this order. The completion history keeps its before-send flag for a supervisor to review; a confirmation cannot prove the supplier was told. Keep the original confirmation and its evidence, and ask a supervisor to correct a mistake. Physical stock receipts belong in StoresFlow.
