PrintStation for office
Discover queues, select the exact profile and record the hardware configuration.
For owners
Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.
Enrol a workstation and choose its printer
- Name the workstation
Name the workstation.
Enrol the browser profile on the computer that runs the PrintStation app. The enrolment lasts ninety days; use a recognisable bench name.
- Enrol this computer
Enrol this computer.
Enrolment gives this browser a workstation identity. It does not qualify a printer or grant employees access to another product.
- Find installed printer queues
Find installed printer queues.
The genuine pinned connector SDK discovers queues over a simulated socket in this course. On a real computer, install and start PrintStation first and follow its readiness guidance.
- Choose the exact media profile
Choose the exact media profile.
Choose size, density and format deliberately. This exercise uses a hundred by a hundred and fifty millimetre ZPL label at two hundred and three dots per inch. A PDF profile is a different binding.
- Record the printer model
Record the printer model.
A calibration record belongs to this model, driver, operating system, app version and media profile. Changing the setup requires new evidence.
- Record the driver
Record the driver.
Use the installed driver name and version, not a guess. Synthetic Driver is test data in this proof.
- Record the operating system
Record the operating system.
Record the workstation operating system alongside the queue and driver. These details help diagnose output differences.
- Prepare the printer calibration
Prepare the printer calibration.
Adding a binding prepares the fixed calibration label. Production use stays held until the calibration has been sent and its observations accepted.
