Recognise an outside-tolerance result and refuse an invalid measurement before correcting the example.

## Handle measurements that need attention

1. **Record an example that is too narrow**

   Record an example that is too narrow.

   The horizontal size is outside tolerance. Check actual-size printing, the selected paper size and the driver, then repeat with a fresh test.

2. **Refuse a negative measurement**

   Refuse a negative measurement.

   A negative measurement cannot be used. Correct it from the paper label rather than accepting an invalid result.

3. **Record the example width measurement**

   Record the example width measurement.

   Enter 50.05 millimetres for this practice example. On a real label, measure between the tick centres on paper, not on the screen.

4. **Record the example height measurement**

   Record the example height measurement.

   The two directions are checked separately. These example values are within the chosen tolerance; this does not qualify a physical printer.

5. **Review the report**

   Review the report.

   Review the evidence before sharing it. By default, device names, notes and received text are excluded.
