Download, save and restore safely

Use real CSV, PDF and project downloads, an isolated device save, and accepted or refused project imports.

For operators

Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.

  1. Start a comparison

    Start a comparison.

Use a known reference and check each label separately. These practice values are synthetic. An exact match is not a physical contents or optical approval.

  2. Keep every leading zero

    Keep every leading zero.

Enter the complete reference. MatchBench preserves each character exactly, including spaces and leading zeroes.

  3. Move on to checking labels

    Move on to checking labels.

The reference stays fixed until you deliberately change it. Each submitted comparison stays in history.

  4. Check an identical value

    Check an identical value.

All six characters agree. A match proves only that the decoded values are equal, not that two separate physical labels were scanned.

  5. Review every retained check

    Review every retained check.

Review the newest check first, with its original reference and recorded entry source. A correction does not delete the earlier observation.

  6. Download the actual CSV

    Download the actual CSV.

The real local export contains every immutable value, outcome and entry-source claim. Import identifier cells as text in a spreadsheet to preserve zeroes.

  7. Download the actual PDF report

    Download the actual PDF report.

The genuine PDF reports all retained comparisons. Downloading a file does not confirm physical printing or approval.

  8. Download a recoverable backup

    Download a recoverable backup.

The genuine portable project preserves the complete state. This practice download contains only the synthetic values used here.

  9. Save the isolated practice copy

    Save the isolated practice copy.

Use the real local save action. Inside Help it writes only to this practice session, never to your normal saved projects. Reset removes this practice save. Closing the demo asks the browser to clear it too. Your normal saved work stays separate.

  10. Start new temporary work

    Start new temporary work.

Confirm the normal replacement question. The practice save remains available until this Help session ends.

  11. Find the saved practice project

    Find the saved practice project.

Only this session’s isolated saved work is listed. Customer projects are never read by this frame.

  12. Open the saved practice project

    Open the saved practice project.

The real validated project store restores the saved comparisons and returns to the furthest completed step.

  13. Refuse a malformed backup

    Refuse a malformed backup.

This prepared file contains duplicate JSON keys. The strict importer rejects it atomically and keeps the accepted comparison.

  14. Keep the accepted work

    Keep the accepted work.

Dismiss the error after checking it. The original comparison is still present.

  15. Restore the prepared synthetic backup

    Restore the prepared synthetic backup.

Confirm replacement through the genuine importer. Imported source claims are unverified, and the import starts temporary work without overwriting the saved original.
