Handle uncertain output

Stop on uncertainty and locate the printing route. Resolve the physical observation in PrintStation; ask an owner for exact reprints.

For operators

Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.

Handle uncertain output

  1. Open a run with uncertain output

Open a run with uncertain output.

This synthetic run lost acknowledgement. A timeout does not prove that no label exists. Inspect the printer output before any retry or replacement.

  2. Open print history

    Open print history.

Use this history for the original run, linked reprints and uncertainty evidence. Keep submission, operator observation and physical confirmation separate.

  3. Review the configured printing route

    Review the configured printing route.

An office user qualifies the stock, dimensions, orientation and barcode before production. This prepared site routes to Assembly labels. Remote handhelds use the paired agent, with the printer managed in PrintStation.
