Verify and publish a release
Verify a frozen candidate against its reference cases and canonical proofs, then publish it to the site's PrintStation station.
For reviewers
Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.
Verify and publish a release
- Open the release candidate for review
Open the release candidate for review.
An author froze this candidate from the prepared template. Its reference cases and expectations are fixed. Verify them before anything is published.
- Verify every frozen reference case
Verify every frozen reference case.
Verification uses the real rule engine and canonical renderer. Inspect each allowed-case proof and each blocked case before publication.
- Check the German customer label
Check the German customer label.
Check the mapped customer SKU, all three labels and the recycling decoration for Germany.
- Check the minimum-quantity label
Check the minimum-quantity label.
Check one unit, its exact leading-zero customer code and the default decoration for Britain.
- Check the standard label
Check the standard label.
Check the standard template and its default content for Britain. The customer-specific layout change must not affect this workflow.
- Check the unrelated German workflow
Check the unrelated German workflow.
The Germany decoration still applies in its approved standard workflow. An unrelated template must retain its expected output.
- Check the missing-code refusal
Check the missing-code refusal.
A missing required customer code must block the label. This expected refusal produces no canonical proof.
- Check the unreleased-job refusal
Check the unreleased-job refusal.
An unreleased source job must not produce a label. Check the expected refusal before approving the candidate.
- Record the reviewer's publication review
Record the reviewer's publication review.
Record what was checked and where this release should apply: this site's PrintStation station and its qualified printer.
- Confirm the canonical proof review
Confirm the canonical proof review.
Only confirm after checking every canonical proof. Publication changes future preparations; accepted labels retain their original document bytes.
- Publish the reviewed release to PrintStation
Publish the reviewed release to PrintStation.
The publication receipt records the reviewer, release and note. New preparations use this release and print through PrintStation on the qualified printer; accepted jobs keep their original labels.
