Print a location list from a CSV
Check a stores team's spreadsheet of rack and bin locations as labels, accept it once and print it unattended in chunks.
For supervisors
Read these instructions on any device. Watch or practise a chapter on a desktop or laptop, with a desktop or mobile application layout. Demonstrations use sample data and simulated scanners.
Print a location list from a CSV
- Open the checked location list
Open the checked location list.
The stores team's spreadsheet of rack and bin locations was imported as a label list. LabelRules checked every row as its own label: the rules chose a rack or a bin layout, and each label was rendered and checked.
- See the checked labels
See the checked labels.
Each location prints exactly as written in the spreadsheet, leading zeros included. Rack uprights get the rack layout, and bins get the bin layout.
- Read why a row is held
Read why a row is held.
One row is held: its code is too long for the label layout. It will not print from this list. The stores team fixes the file and prints that location in a new list.
- Acknowledge the held row
Acknowledge the held row.
Before accepting, confirm that the held row will not print. Nothing prints that was not checked.
- Accept the whole list once
Accept the whole list once.
Accepting needs a recent second factor. LabelRules accepts every ready row as an ordinary run and sends the labels to the PrintStation destination Assembly labels, where its agent prints them unattended.
- Follow the chunks to the printer
Follow the chunks to the printer.
The labels go in chunks of up to 50. Each chunk goes when the agent has sent the earlier one to the printer, and the list shows every chunk: its rows, its labels and when it was sent.
