## Read a file refusal and check a deliberate correction

1. **Start a file check**

   Start a file check.

Start a temporary check. Your file stays in this tab until you choose to save it on this device.

2. **Open the paste box**

   Open the paste box.

Paste text when you do not need to select a file. FeedBench does not change the original values.

3. **Paste a file with repeated column names**

Paste a file with repeated column names.

This made-up file has two columns called item. FeedBench should stop and explain the problem.

4. **Use the pasted text**

   Use the pasted text.

Place the pasted text into this local check. Nothing is sent to a server.

5. **Confirm the separator and column names**

Confirm the separator and column names.

Check that the separator is right and the first record holds the column names, then confirm it.

6. **Choose what to do with the file**

Choose what to do with the file.

Continue only after the file layout is confirmed.

7. **Read the repeated-column refusal**

   Read the repeated-column refusal.

Do not treat an incomplete check as a pass. The original file is retained so you can correct it deliberately.

8. **Return to the source text**

   Return to the source text.

Return to the file choice and make a deliberate correction after reviewing the source.

9. **Open the paste box**

   Open the paste box.

Paste text when you do not need to select a file. FeedBench does not change the original values.

10. **Correct the column name in this example**

Correct the column name in this example.

For this practice file, the second column is description. In real work, check the source before changing it.

11. **Use the pasted text**

   Use the pasted text.

Place the pasted text into this local check. Nothing is sent to a server.

12. **Choose what to do with the file**

Choose what to do with the file.

Continue only after the file layout is confirmed.

13. **Run the local file check**

   Run the local file check.

Check the file as written. This checks its structure, not the current state of a factory system.
