Separate printed text from scan values, inspect copies and export a reviewed scan-test sample.

## Choose the scan value and copies

1. **Choose a separate barcode value**

   Choose a separate barcode value.

   The displayed location and the code returned by the scanner can be different. Review that difference deliberately.

2. **Enter the exact scan value**

   Enter the exact scan value.

   The six-character value keeps every leading zero. Changing a separate value does not change the visible location.

3. **Ask for two copies of the same card**

   Ask for two copies of the same card.

   Copies repeat this identity. They do not create new bin locations, and the PDF already includes both copies.

4. **Check the card and generate the PDF**

   Check the card and generate the PDF.

   The real worker checks the text and barcode fit, then makes the PDF. Its preview uses those completed bytes.

5. **Review the second copy**

   Review the second copy.

   Check the page mapping and copy number before printing. Print once; asking the viewer for two more copies would multiply the output.

6. **Download the checked PDF**

   Download the checked PDF.

   The PDF already contains the requested pages and copies. Print it at actual size on the printing computer. Downloading it does not prove a card printed.

7. **Open the document details and scan sample**

   Open the document details and scan sample.

   The scan-test file contains the selected actual identifiers. Review them before saving or sharing it.

8. **Review the selected scan-test values**

   Review the selected scan-test values.

   A sample covers only the values selected. Copies of one card share one expected value.

9. **Download the reviewed scan-test sample**

   Download the reviewed scan-test sample.

   Import this file into ScannerBench to compare scans with the expected values. The link alone does not send those values to another site.
