# Preview and generate a KitProof file

## Preview and generate a KitProof file

1. **Open data feeds**

   Open data feeds.

   An owner has already prepared this feed definition, binding order lines, customer mappings and standard mappings. Its source key and mappings are fixed.

2. **Preview the current source versions**

   Preview the current source versions.

   Customer mappings take precedence. Standard mappings are used only when explicitly allowed and no customer mapping matches. A missing job is not a cancellation.

3. **Inspect the mapped jobs**

   Inspect the mapped jobs.

   Review each mapped job and its source provenance. The input rows in this course are synthetic prepared files, not a live polling connection.

4. **Generate the reviewed KitProof file**

   Generate the reviewed KitProof file.

   Keep the generated KitProof file and its evidence together. KitProof validates and accepts it separately. Generation does not deliver a file or activate receiving configuration.
